LCGS Transportation Program: If anyone desires to attend a LCGS meeting or function and does not have transportation, doesn’t want to drive at night or would like company when attending, the Society has a group of Volunteers ready to provide transportation. If a ride is needed, phone Jean Anderson at 207-0419 at least 48 hours ahead of time to make arrangements for a ride.
Marilyn Rudd was nominated for the Federation of Genealogical Societies’ Ruth C. Biship Volunteer award. Marilyn has been in the LCGS for 28 years and held every position in the Society except President and has served on most committees..plus other community service. We were disappointed that she did not receive the award, but we still place her on the top of our pyramid
NEW MEETING PLACE IN 2006: The Society has grown to over 148 members and the general meeting space in the Ben Delatour Room at the down town Ft. Collins Library has been limited. Starting January 2006, the monthly meetings will be held in the Community Room at the Harmony Library, 4616 S. Shields (Harmony Road & S. Shields St.) in south Fort Collins. Meeting dates will be the third Thursday of each month, except Second Thursday in November. No Meeting in December 2006.
