Program Information
The topic for the monthly meeting will be “Tracking Down Your Eastern European Ancestors” by Pam Vestal. In spite of the many wars, boundary changes, and political and natural catastrophes, an astonishing number of records exist for our Easter European ancestors, both here and abroad. Even if you don’t speak any foreign languages, you can still find great information about your overseas ancestors. Explore strategies for locating ancestral places of origin, uncovering original names, finding and requesting records, understanding the documents, and coping with language challenges.
