Starting in June, our society will be meeting in person at the Fort Collins Senior Center for our monthly programs. We will have a hybrid meeting using our Zoom video service. Capacity is 45 persons in the Foxtail II room located at the northeast end of the senior center. Lots of free parking at the senior center close to the Foxtail room. We look forward to seeing you there!

Program Information
The topic for the monthly meeting will be “The Family History Library in Salt Lake City”.
This presentation will give a brief overview of the history and background of the Family History Library, lead guests on a virtual tour of our recently renovated facility, review some library basics including how to get help while you are here, and provide some essentials for doing research through FamilySearch.
Speaker Profile
Julia A. Anderson, MA, AG® has a master’s degree in History and is an Accredited Genealogist® with a credential in the United States Gulf South region. She is currently pursuing a second credential in African American research. She is a United States and Canada Research Specialist at the Family History Library and teaches genealogy research classes for Salt Lake Community College as an adjunct faculty member. Julia currently serves as First Vice President of the Utah Genealogical Association (UGA) and is a member of the test digitization committee for the International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogists (ICAPGen).
