LCGS ANNUAL CHRISTMAS MEETING
Join us Thursday, December 3rd, at 6:00 pm for our Annual Christmas Meeting. Like everything else in 2020, this year’s meeting will be virtual via Zoom.
This year Presenter Carol Cook Darrow will join us.
Carol Cook Darrow has been a professional genealogist for more than 20 years. She has written a book about researching tax records and enjoys teaching beginning genealogy and writing family histories.
Carol will be speaking about Family Traditions. Every family has traditions. We absorbed them in childhood and we teach them to our own children. We often think of them as immutable and unchanging but each generation adds and subtracts from tradition to create new ways of celebrating. Most of the December celebrations familiar to us are actually derived from pagan winter solstice celebrations and a celebration of light.
Our President, Glenn York, will open the Zoom meeting at 6 PM for 30 minutes of social sharing. Bring your holiday memories and traditions to share.
