OLLI Class – Intro to Genealogy Part II

Intro to Genealogy OSHR Course #6154 on November 6th at 10 am at the Drake Hall at the OLLI Center, 2545 Research Blvd, Fort Collins, CO 80526.

CLASS DESCRIPTION
Curious about your family’s past? In part II of his Intro to Genealogy class, explore how easy it is to search the various historical records in the top three online databases and the differences between the library and home versions. Bob will review these top three genealogy databases in more detail by reviewing their special features of each database. Besides showing how to create or add more ancestors to your family tree, Bob explains several of the special features of each database such as their tutorials of each databases, and improving photos.

Ancestry Members can create memories of each ancestor and using hints and Advanced Pro Tools techniques! MyHeritage members can use their DeepNostalgia with animated photos or using their DeepStory with your ancestor giving their life story verbally, and colorizing your ancestor photos. FamilySearch members can add more ancestors to your family tree by automatically searching all databases plus using their facial comparison to match ancestor photos with your own photo collection, all of these features using artificial intelligence (AI). Family Search also has a fun exercise for parties or workshops with their Relative Finder game, which shows if you are related to another person at that same party or workshop. This course will help you uncover your ancestors and preserve your family’s unique history. This is a 2-hour class held at CSU/OLLI headquarters in Fort Collins.
