Program Information
Our July 20th Topic:   Fort Collins Empire Grange

Description:   Please join us to learn when and why the National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry was established and their important objectives. Local granges quickly sprang up across the nation and provided valuable information and services to farmers, ranchers, and agricultural communities. You will learn who established our local Fort Collins Empire Grange, how they built an unassuming historic brick building at 2306 West Mulberry, and the benefits provided to our community over 120 years.

Presenter Profile:  Lyn Devers Iannuzzi is the fifth generation to call Larimer County home. She attended K-12 beginning with old #10 Mountain View elementary and graduating in the first class at Poudre High School. As a kindergartener she first set foot in the Empire Grange and attended various activities through high school. Lyn received the 2020 Fort Collins Historical Society Recognition Award for the “Mountain Home Cemetery Records” project. The project provided a detailed cemetery report and over 1,000 document images and transcripts to the Fort Collins Parks Department and the Archive at the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery.
