Program – Enhancing Genealogy with Church Records

Our September program will be Enhancing Genealogy with Church Records.

Our Saturday meeting begins at 10:00am at the Fort Collins Senior Center (See map below). This will be a hybrid (in-person & Zoom)meeting. Attendees wanting to attend via Zoom need to register below to receive the Zoom info and handout.

President Larry Doyle provides a brief overview of our society with the latest committee reports followed by tonight’s program.

Genealogist Jenny Warner will teach us the genealogical value of church records, which can offer information on immigration and towns of origin.

Speaker Profile

Jenny Warner has been studying genealogy for 42 years. Jenny’s mother started Jenny and her sister early, learning about where their family came from and how to research family history.

Jenny is a member of many Lineage Societies as well as numerous Genealogical Societies. She holds offices in many local lineage groups and genealogical societies.

Jenny loves sharing her knowledge of family history and helping people learn about their heritage.

Be sure to use our Thursday afternoon (except holiday weeks) genealogy help session from 1 to 3 pm at the Fort Collins Downtown Library. Members or visitors: please send an email to [email protected] with your request, and if for an ancestor, please send your family tree info from Ancestry, MyHeritage or a family tree image from your genealogy software.
